Swine flu

The outbreak of swine flu is continuing. So far, there’s no evidence that the second wave of infections involves a more serious strain of the virus.

A vaccination programme is expected to start later this month and people with HIV are one of the priority groups for vaccination.

You can find out more information about swine flu on aidsmap.com, where there are two factsheets you can read online or download as PDFs.

The current issue of HIV Treatment Update includes a Q&A article about swine flu. HIV Treatment Update is available free to people living with HIV in the UK, or subscriptions can be bought. Visit our online bookshop for more information, or contact us at info@nam.org.uk or 020 7837 6988.
