E-mail lists are a great source of information and support.

Some of them are at the cutting edge of HIV treatment. At least six months

before clinicians had first defined the lipodystrophy syndrome, people taking

protease inhibitors had begun to itemise all the symptoms for themselves through

an on-line e-mail list called Crix-List.

E-mail lists also offer daily delivery of news and summaries of peer-reviewed

journal articles.

A very useful on-line introduction by John La Bella of HIV Infoweb, with the

facility to sign up to any of the lists whilst on-line, is available
