Oh yes, that’s right, we’re aiming high! We currently have over 900 followers on our NAM Facebook page, and we are absolutely delighted! Facebook is a fantastic way to find out about our new resources, read about what we’re working on, hear the latest news and be introduced to new members of our team. We love that so many of you get involved in NAM’s work through Facebook, commenting and ‘liking’ our posts, and we’re proud of our following – which is why we want to make it bigger!
Can you help?
We’re aiming to reach 1000 likes on Facebook and, with your help, we reckon we can do it. You may know that the most likely thing that will persuade someone to do something is if a friend recommends it. If every one of our 940 followers recommended our page to their friends, the number of people who would become aware of aidsmap.com and the importance of getting themselves clued up about HIV would be huge.
Do you think you can help? If you invite your friends to visit the NAM facebook page, it will help to spread the word about where people go to get accurate information about HIV, informing your friends about the ways they can protect themselves, and helping to raise awareness of how HIV can be transmitted, diagnosed and treated.

If you spread the word, you spread the knowledge and as a little incentive for you to do so we are offering one of our Facebook followers the opportunity to appear on aidsmap.com. As soon as we hit the big 1000 (and straight after we have done a little dance around the office) we will randomly select one of our followers to work with us on a blog. Maybe you work for an HIV service and want to tell the world about the fantastic work you are doing, how you are changing the world and what it is that your organisation is striving to achieve. Maybe you have a story to tell, or opinions to share. If it’s ok with you, we’d like to put you on the front page!
