The benefits of HIV treatment

HIV treatment can improve the health and life expectancy of people with HIV. In fact, some doctors are now confident that many people with HIV now have the chance to live a near-normal life span.

Taking HIV treatment reduces the risk of AIDS-related illnesses as well as some other serious disease as well.

For example, increased rates of some cancers have been seen in people with HIV.

Many cancers, such as anal, cervical and liver cancer, are linked to infections.

Now researchers have found that HIV treatment can inhibit a virus that has been associated both with prostate cancer, and with another illness called chronic fatigue syndrome.
