Coming soon: news from HIV Glasgow 2018

The International Congress on Drug Therapy in HIV Infection (HIV Glasgow) is taking place in Glasgow, UK, from 28 to 31 October. NAM is the official provider of online science news for the conference.

This year’s conference will feature research on:

  • The safety of pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP)
  • Dual therapy HIV treatment regimens
  • Treatment for heavily treatment-experienced people
  • Dolutegravir and neural tube defects.

A person who has previously taken treatment for a condition. Treatment-experienced people may have taken several different regimens before and may have a strain of HIV that is resistant to multiple drug classes.
