Provides advice, training and research relating to the epidemiology and control of HIV/AIDS worldwide, and on related issues such as sexually transmitted infections, sexual behaviour and tuberculosis. Laboratory scientists in the school are also undertaking research on a number of organisms causing opportunistic infections in HIV/AIDS patients. Members of school staff have clinical responsibility for HIV/AIDS patients at the Hospital for Tropical Diseases and University College and Middlesex Hospitals of the UCL Hospitals Trust.

We can end HIV soon if people have equal access to HIV drugs as treatment and as PrEP, and have free choice over whether to take them.

Launched today, the Community Consensus Statement is a basic set of principles aimed at making sure that happens.
