How TB is passed on

This illustrated leaflet for people living with HIV, gives basic information on how TB (tuberculosis) is passed on.

The bacteria that cause tuberculosis (TB) can sometimes pass from one person to another through the air.

TB bacteria can sometimes be spread through the air when a person with TB coughs or sneezes. However, many people who have TB are not infectious.
