In most cases, there should be no reason why your employer would need to know that you have HIV. Even if you need to have a lot off time off sick, there is no need for your employer to know that HIV is the cause.

Some employers offer very good support to people with HIV, and the UK Disability Discrimination Act makes it illegal for an HIV-positive person from the moment of their diagnosis to be discriminated against at work because of their health status.
