Tuberculosis and HIV - About this module
This module provides training towards the following WHO-recommended clinical care competencies for HIV service delivery providers:
Basic HIV education for HIV positive clients
- Describe the relationship between HIV and TB
Clinical assessment, preparation before initiation of ARV Therapy, and initiation
- Determine TB clinical status and respond appropriately
- Prescribe TB/ART co-treatment where appropriate
Manage INH prophylaxis
- Identify HIV patients eligible for INH prophylaxis and refer to district clinician (or follow algorithm)- according to national policy
- Evaluate patients for INH prophylaxis
