Additional information: Accessing New-Fill in the UK
   Last updated: 25.08.04

The following clinics provide New-Fill on the NHS for their HIV patients with psychologically-damaging severe facial lipoatrophy. Other clinics may be able to refer their patients to one of these centres, or to a private clinic, although whether this is available on the NHS is dealt with on a case-by-case basis.

Currently no New-Fill treatment is available on the NHS in Scotland or Wales. Some centres in Glasgow and Edinburgh refer patients to a plastic surgeon at St John’s Hospital, Livingston. In Cardiff, patients are referred to private clinics in London.

There does no appear to be any access toNew-Filll in Northern Ireland.

New-Filll is obtainable privately through MediPhill (020 7937 2377) at approximately £1200 for four sessions. It is currently administered through MediPhill’s nurse practitioner, or through a Harley Street clinic experienced in providing the treatment for patients with lipoatrophy (which is much more expensive). Dr. Harindra in Portsmouth also sees private patients for the cost of New-Fill (£200 a session) - see Portsmouth listing below for more details.
