Liver transplants can be successful in people with HIV. An increasing number have been performed on people who are coinfected with HIV and hepatitis B or C.
You are most likely to have a successful liver transplant if you have cirrhosis and HIV has not done too much damage to your immune system or you have responded well to HAART.
