The overwhelming majority of people with HIV remain sexually active after they find out they have HIV. For most people, sex is a pleasurable and important part of life, and many people with HIV have sex that they are happy with.

Nevertheless, it’s important for people with HIV to have information about sex and their health. This chapter provides information on what’s involved in protecting your own and other people’s sexual health, sexual problems such as erectile dysfunction, infectiousness, and reinfection with other strains of HIV.
