This module provides training towards the following WHO-recommended clinical care competencies for HIV service delivery providers:
- Describe the benefits and risks of ART in first trimester and pregnancy in general
- When medically eligible for ART, offer appropriate non teratogenic tri-therapy to pregnant women
- When woman on ART becomes pregnant, know when to substitute for EFV (first trimester)
- When not medically eligible for ART, offer ARV prophylaxis regimen for pregnant woman and newborn according to national regimen
- Offer other PMTCT interventions to all pregnant woman
