NICE is responsible for evaluating therapies for the UK and deciding whether the clinical evidence justifies provision through the NHS. If you are having problems obtaining treatment with interferon alpha and ribavirin this information may be useful to you. At this time NICE has not considered pegylated interferon so it is not available through the NHS unless individual primary care trusts choose to fund its use. |
