Note: there are hundreds of sites on the web which claim to offer protocols for various forms of alternative treatment for HIV infection and AIDS-related illnesses. Many offer little research evidence to back up their claims, and some are frankly dangerous. The sites listed below provide good quality information - and links to some of the abovementioned sites. An extremely useful collection of resources on complementary medicine that focusses on providing links to evidence-based reviews of various therapies.
Direct AIDS Alternative Information Resources
An extremely comprehensive and well-researched guide to nutritional supplements and alternative remedies and their use in HIV infection. DAAIR, based in the US, also operates a buyers club offering good quality supplements at wholesale prices.

Dr Misha Cohen has been treating people with HIV using traditional Chinese medicine since the 1980s, and this is her website. It features lots of information about TCM, and more is being added all the time. Best resource on TCM and HIV currently available on-line.

The Department is an internationally recognised centre of excellence for research into complementary medicine.
National Center for Alternative and Complementary Medicine
Part of the US government's National Institute of Health, this is one of the very few places where controlled research into complimentary and alternative research is conducted

Access to an extensive database of scientific articles on complementary and alternative therapies.
Positively Healthy
A UK-based organisation founded in 1989, Positively Healthy concentrates on diet, lifestyle, immune system support and "AIDS and club drugs".
