Testing in different situations
Guidelines suggest that an HIV test should be offered to a wide range of individuals, in a wide range of situations. This section describes current guidelines, as well as outlining issues in particular circumstances:
- testing of a person with a ‘clinical indicator disease’
- testing after possible recent infection
- testing during pregnancy
- testing of babies, children and adolescents
