Oesophageal candidiasis: update
The last edition of HATIP, covering swallowing problems, omitted to mention that the miconazole buccal patch is available at a cost-only price from manufacturer Tibotec through distributors such as the International Dispensary Association, Missionpharma and UNICEF. SCMS, the supply chain management network funded by PEPFAR, lists the miconazole buccal patch as an essential medicine.
