Resources for people affected by HIV
Whether you've been living with HIV for a long time or were diagnosed recently, we want to help you understand your diagnosis and treatment, so that you can work together with your doctor and other healthcare workers to keep yourself healthy.
If you are affected by HIV indirectly as a partner, friend or family member of someone who is HIV-positive, then the resources listed below are also an excellent way to learn more about HIV.

namlife.org is a brand new sub-site of aidsmap.com that will guide you through the maze of information available and help you find the answers to the questions you may find yourself asking.
There are also loads of personal stories from other people living with HIV and their experiences of life with HIV.

A beginner's guide to HIV. Bite-size pieces of information, on a huge menu of topics.
These one-page introductions provide a basic summary of over 100 HIV and related topics from reproductive health to recreational drug use. Written simply and concisely, they are a good place to start if you are learning about HIV.

Regular information events for people living with HIV. Come along, hear from the experts and ask your questions.
HIV Weekly
Aimed at HIV-positive people in the UK, HIV Weekly is a free e-bulletin, sent out once a week by email, highlighting what’s new in the world of HIV. Summarising developments and full of links to more in-depth information, HIV Weekly gives you the tools to learn a little, or a lot, every week.

HIV Health Support Service
NAM is working with the Terrence Higgins Trust (THT) to provide a face-to-face health trainer service for people living with HIV in London.
It is particularly useful if you have recently been diagnosed with HIV, are thinking of starting treatment, are experiencing side-effects or thinking about changing treatment.
