Children
Saquinavir (Invirase) is not currently approved for use by children in the European Union. However, research has shown that saquinavir, in combination with other antiretroviral drugs, is effective in reducing viral load in children. As children clear saquinavir from their bodies more quickly than adults, they require a higher dose, relative to body weight.
