Children
d4T (stavudine, Zerit) is licensed for use in children over three months of age. The recommended dose is 1mg/kg twice daily in children weighing less than 30kg. Children above this weight should take the adult dose[1].
Studies have shown than the incidence of side-effects in children taking d4T is similar to that in adults.
