Hospices or residential projects for drug users with HIV
In major centres of high HIV prevalence among injecting drug users, a small number of dedicated residential, respite and hospice projects, such as Mildmay Hospital in London, exist and can provide support for drug users. People are usually referred via community or outpatient services. These units run either within the voluntary or health sector.
