This section is a condensed version of the ‘Services for people with HIV’ section in the last AIDS Reference Manual. Since then the ‘living with HIV’ section in the previous edition of the manual has been turned into a separate book, Living with HIV. Nonetheless there are still services and issues particular to living with HIV that people with the virus and professionals who work with them need to know, many of which impact directly on quality of life and the stress of living with HIV.

Many of these ‘living with…’ areas are covered in other chapters, especially the chapter on The Law and HIV and the chapter on Employment and HIV.
