Run the London 10k for NAM!

It’s January, the mulled wine has gone, there are only the strawberry ones left in the Quality Street tin, it’s blowing a gale outside and we’re all feeling a teensy bit guilty about all of that eating and sitting down we did over Christmas.

There’s nothing like setting yourself a challenge in the New Year to focus your mind on the year ahead and what better way of motivating yourself to get up and active than to sign up for the British 10k London Run to raise money for NAM?

NAM has 5 places in this year's British 10K London Run on July 8th 2012 (we did have six, but a lovely chap was incredibly quick off the mark and has already bagged one of them) and we want YOU to run for us!

Every year thousands of people descend on the capital to take part in the British 10K London Run. The run takes in all of the main sights across the city, including the magnificent St Paul's Cathedral, Westminster Abbey (where Prince William married Kate Middleton, in case you missed it) and Downing Street before finishing in Whitehall.

Last year saw 25,000 people, including top athletes and celebrities, take part in the race, supported by over 40,000 spectators…that’s an awful lot of cheering and a huge amount of vital funds raised for a vast number of charities.

Don’t believe us? Then why not read Divya and Raj’s story – they ran the race last year for us and loved it so much they wrote to tell us all about it!

So go on, challenge yourself. Instead of watching re-runs on TV this January, get active whilst getting that warm fuzzy feeling that comes from knowing the funds you raise will help people with HIV all over the world access the information they need to stay healthy and happy.

Go on...

Apply today, just fill in this form, it's that easy. As a small charity, NAM does have to ask you to raise a minimum of £250 in sponsorship, but we will do everything we can to help you achieve this.

Once we've received your application we'll be in touch, but if you have any questions about the form or the event please do call Beth on 020 7840 0051 or email Beth@nam.org.uk. Oh, and if you have any strawberry Quality Street going spare our editor Paul will be happy to take them off your hands.

We look forward to welcoming you to the team!
