The observed impact of antiretroviral therapy on HIV transmission has led a number of HIV clinicians and professional bodies to modify the advice they give to HIV-positive people and their sexual partners. Public discussion of this was kick-started by a paper from the Swiss Federal Commission for HIV/AIDS in January 2008. However a number of authorities have questioned the Swiss position.
