Benefits

Benefits are the responsibility of the Department of Work and Pensions and are linked to the social circumstances of an individual. Asylum seekers and undocumented migrants are not entitled to these benefits, but the UK Border Agency administers lower levels of support for some asylum seekers and refused asylum seekers. Refugees and many people with leave to remain in the country are entitled to benefits.
